It made me think.
Most of us do not use plastic bags because we want to harm the environment. We use them because they are easily available. Even after bans, regulations, and endless discussions about which plastic is allowed and which is not, plastic bags are still everywhere. The rules may be confusing, but the result is simple. More plastic continues to enter our homes, our streets, and eventually our environment.
What if we made one small change?
What if we carried a cloth bag or a tote bag with us whenever we stepped out?
A cloth bag can be folded and kept in a handbag, backpack, scooter compartment, or car. It costs very little, lasts for years, and can replace hundreds of plastic bags. It is such a small habit that it hardly feels like a sacrifice.
The truth is that saving the environment does not always require grand campaigns or big investments. Sometimes, it begins with simple everyday choices. Refusing one plastic bag may seem insignificant, but when millions of people do the same, the impact becomes enormous.
The Earth is not just a place where we live. It is our home. We keep our homes clean because we care about them. Our planet deserves the same care.
So the next time you leave home, carry a cloth bag with you. It may look like a small habit, but it is a small habit with a big impact.
